Tony Thomas Biography

Anthony E. Thomas, II, Nashville Airport Department of Public Safety. Anthony began his law enforcement career in 1992 with a sheriff's department in middle Tennessee. He served in nearly every capacity during his tenure with that department. In 2001, the Tennessee Department of Safety employed Anthony as the state's lead Defensive Tactics & Physical Fitness Instructor at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. He is currently employed as an officer with the Nashville Airport Department of Public Safety. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Public Administration at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. He is also a graduate of the Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command, Class #186. He has studied Isshinryu Karate most of his life. He has designed and implemented dozens of law enforcement related classes that have Tennessee's P.O.S.T. approval. Anthony was first certified in SSGT in 2002 and is now a member of the SSGT Advisory Board.
