Jun 90 to
Arkansas Army National Guard, Little Rock, AR. Present: Major, Aviation Battalion Executive Officer
(2-114th AVN BN) Service history includes three years as an enlisted Infantryman. Selection and
Graduation from Officer Candidate School occurred in 1993. Graduated from the U.S. Army Armor
Officer Basic Course on October 29, 1993. Military service continued for the next six years
serving as an Officer in the 39th Infantry Brigade with duty positions ranging from Platoon Leader and
Executive Officer to Battalion level Logistics Officer. Two promotions occurred during this time achieving the
rank of Captain. Completion of the U.S. Army Initial Entry Rotary Wing program occurred from 1999 to 2000.
Assignment to an Air Medevac company followed along with graduation from the UH-60 Black Hawk Advanced
Qualification course and the U.S. Army Medevac Doctrine Course in 2000. Obtained Pilot in Command Status in the
UH-60 Black Hawk on March 13, 2003 for Day, Night, and NVG conditions. Service in the five aircraft Medevac
unit included numerous duty positions from Flight Operations officer to Commander. Attended and graduated
from the U.S. Army Aviation Advanced course in 2003. Re-branched as a Medical Service Corp officer in August
of 2003 and received Alert for deployment. Entered active duty on September 1, 2003, as the deployment project
officer and unit commander.
Deployed to Bosnia-Herzigovina in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the Unit Commander.
Ended Active duty Service on December 24, 2004 and returned to employment with the Arkansas Game and Fish
Commission. In March of 2005 served as a tactical airspace controller during an exercise in Seoul, South
Korea. Military highlights include numerous awards and medals with four Army Accommodation Medals and one
Meritorious Service Medal. Flying Service has involved the medical evacuation of over 100 injured soldiers and
civilians of both battle and non battle injuries in locations all around the world with over 150 hours of
flight time in a hostile fire, imminent danger environment. Promoted to the rank of Major effective August 15, 2005.
Continued service as the Battalion Aviation Safety Officer and Liaison Officer. On July 1, 2006 Returned to an
Active Duty status serving as a counterdrug pilot in the Reconnaissance and Interdiction Detachment (RAID) of Arkansas
supporting Federal, State, and local Law enforcement agencies with the war on drugs. Completed the RAID basic mission
Qualification course in October of 2006. Received Senior Army Aviator Wing Award in November of 2006.
Still currently serving on Active Duty as a counterdrug pilot for the RAID unit with over 2000 total flight hours
while assigned as the 2nd Battalion 114th Aviation Battalion Executive Officer.
July 97 to present:
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Texarkana, AR.
Corporal, Law Enforcement Officer
Began working as a Wildlife Officer for the State of Arkansas
on July 1,1997. Primarily responsible for enforcing all
Federal, State, County, and City laws with an emphasis on
the enforcement of wildlife laws. Additional duties include:
· Honor Guard committee member
· Search Warrant and Arrest Team member Medical Officer
· S.S.G.T. Defensive Tactics Instructor Trainer / Board Member
· First Responder / CPR Instructor
Career highlights include several accommodations and two life
saving awards.
Received special recognition for actions taken during a line
of duty gun shot wound.
Received accommodations for an arrest and seizure of cash money
in excess of $10,000.00 in a single case involving drug and
wildlife related charges.
Successfully completed two cases where violators were fined in
excess of $15,000.00 per case while forfeiting vehicles and guns
to the state of Arkansas.
One of eight SSGT defensive tactics board members in the U.S.
responsible for teaching defensive tactics to numerous Law
Enforcement Officers across several states.
Certified as a Level I and II SSGT Instructor Trainer and
received the SSGT Pioneer award in 2005.
Currently on Military Leave from the Arkansas Game and Fish Comm.
Feb 05 to present:
Helicopters Southwest, Texarkana, AR.
Helicopter Power line Patrol Pilot Flown numerous hours in a Bell 206 Jet Ranger II filming and reporting power line
activities across Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Indiana. Flew over 250 flight hours in three months
supporting the Federal Government (E.P.A., USCG, FBI, Homeland Security, ect.) following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Jun 94 to Jan 02:
Columbia County Ambulance Service, Magnolia, AR.
EMT-Paramedic / Instructor
Received EMT Basic Certification in 1994 and began working as an EMT in the field in order to pay for college expenses.
Attended and graduated from the Counter Narcotics Tactical Operations Medical Support course in 1994 taught by the Department
of Defense along with numerous other federal law enforcement agencies. Established a Tactical EMT unit known as EM-TAC
by developing protocols, standard operating procedures and obtaining a medical director for the program. EM-TAC supported
the 13th Judicial District Drug Task force working directly for the Prosecuting Attorney who served as the Team leader.
Continued education until reaching the level of Paramedic in 1996.
Served as the community’s primary EMT instructor from 1994 to 1997. Later became an EMT Instructor for the University
of Arkansas at Hope in 1998. Maintained certifications as an EMT- Paramedic / Instructor and CPR Instructor Trainer until
January of 2004. Certifications lapsed due to being deployed overseas.
