THE EQUALIZER GOING STRONG IN BATON ROUGE

A local TV News reporter went throug all four Phases of the Equalizer Women's Self-defense Program under Instructor Carl Dabadie at the Baton Rouge Police Academy. The News Station covered her experience going through each Phase of the program. She loved the class and due to the favorable coverage of the program, the Academy has 90 women on a waiting list to go through the Equalizer Course. Carl and the Academy Staff are really making a difference for women in Baton Rouge. Great job guys!

SSGT MARKS ITS 4th YEAR IN KOXVILLE, TN
The recent Level One, Level Two and Equalizer Instructor classes November 26-December 6, 2007 at the Knoxville Police Academy were a huge success. The officers all did a great job. Thanks to Knoxville PD for their support. The Instructors were Johnny Smith, Jim Stegall, Roy Ellis and Steve Helton was there as much as he could be. He is currently going through therapy and doing great. Thanks to God for Steve's recovery. 2008 SSGT INSTRUCTOR CONFERENCE

 

SSGT MARKS ITS 6th YEAR IN JEFFERSON CO, AL
The recent Level One Instructor class October 1-5, 2007 at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Academy went great. The reviews of the class were "Excellent." Thanks to Drummond Liddell and the Academy their support. The Instructors were Johnny Smith and Tony Sullivan. This was our sixth year conducting Instructor Level classes at the Academy.

 
SSGT AT THE MIDDLE GEORGIA POLICE ACADEMY
The recent Level One, Level Two and Equalizer Instructor classes at the Middle Georgia Police Academy August 13-23, 2007 in Macon were very successful. Randy Hackley and officers all did a great job. Thanks to the Academy for their support. The Instructors were Randy Hackley and Johnny Smith.

SSGT LEVEL TWO AT THE BATON ROUGE POLICE ACADEMY
The recent Level Two and Equalizer Instructor classes at the Baton Rouge Police Academy August 6-9, 2007 in Baton Rouge, LA were great. Thanks to Carl Dabadie and Joel Callahan for their help. Thanks to the Academy for their support. The Instructors were Carl Dabadie and Johnny Smith.

SSGT MARKS ITS 5th YEAR IN MURFREESBORO, TN
Many thanks to Steve Scott and Laura Molthrop for making the July 16-20 Level One Instructor course at MTSU successful. This was the 5th year in a row MTSU has hosted SSGT. We've been doing instructor level courses at MTSU for five straight years.

 

SSGT IN GWINNETT, GA
The Level One Instructor course held July 9-13, 2007 in Lawrenceville, GA was great. Thanks to all the participants for making the class fun. Special thanks to William Valree for putting it together. 

 

SSGT IN BATON ROUGE, LA
The Level One Instructor course held June 25-29, 2007 in Baton Rouge was a great class. Everyone worked hard and did a great job. Special thanks to Sgt. Carl Dabadie for making it happen.

 

SSGT DEMONSTRATION AT DALLAS POLICE ACADEMY
On June 19, 2007 Johnny Lee Smith and IT Barry Teague conducted an SSGT demonstration at the Dallas Police Academy in Dallas, Texas. Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Arlington Police Departments all now want to have SSGT Instructors on staff. The demonstration was a huge success.

 

State of Oregon Dept. of Public Safety Standards & Training
Officer Darryl Tate with Oregon's DPSST will be attending the Level One Instructor course in Gwinnett County Georgia July 9-13, 2007. This will put SSGT on the other side of the United States.

 

SSGT AT ANGOLA
The recent class at the Angola State Penitentiary in Louisiana was great. Everyone worked hard and really seemed to get a lot out of the class. Many thanks go out to Kirt Guerin, Warden Burl Cain, Orville Lamartiniere and Joe Lamartiniere for making it a success.

 

THE EQUALIZER IS TAKING OFF IN LAKE CHARLES
Instructors James McGee & Todd Ory are very busy trying to meet the demand for the Equalizer. After one radio ad, Calcasieu Sheriff's Office received over 300 phone inquiries and registered over 75 women for the Equalizer class addressing personal safety.

SSGT & ACTION TARGET
SSGT will be the first defensive tactics program ever offered at Action Target's Law Enforcement Training Camp. We will be teaching SSGT in both Provo, Utah and Baton Rouge, Louisiana with Action Target this year. Check out the LETC video.

 

EQUALIZER CERTIFICATION FOR NON-SSGT INSTRUCTORS
We will be offering our first ever Equalizer Instructor courses for non-SSGT Instructors this year. The first class will be at the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy in Ft. McClellan, Alabama in September. The second will be in Knoxville, Tennessee this October. These classes are open to certified law enforcement and corrections officers only.
