Equalizer Instructor Course Objectives

By the end of the Equalizer Instructor Certification Course, a Certified Instructor will be qualified to:

1. Educate students about the facts concerning rape/ sexual assault and stalking as well as what options they have if they or someone they know becomes a victim.
 
2. Educate students on the effects of rape/ sexual assault and who can help.
 
3. Educate students on how to recognize dangerous situations.
 
4. Educate students on how to reduce their exposure to possibly dangerous situations.
 
5. Educate students on how to avoid being the target of an attacker.
 
6. Educate student on the use-of-force against an attacker.
 
7. The law and the use-of-force against an attacker.
           
8. Instill confidence in the student’s knowledge and ability concerning self- defense.
 
9. Certify female students in one or all four phases of the Equalizer student course.
 
Prerequisite - Must be certified law enforcement or corrections officer or an employee of Triad Martial Arts, Inc.
 
Length & Cost Of Course 
Certified SSGT Instructors 
8 hours - $150.00 per officer 
Non-SSGT Instructors  
32 hours - $400.00 per officer  

 

Other Certification Facts: 

Instructor Certification is valid for three years pending certain requirements.

Instructors may instruct and certify students in one or all four Phases.

Student Certification is valid for one year.

Step-by-step pictorial instructor manual included with instructor course.

Step-by-step pictorial Student manuals sold separately.

Written and Practical Examinations are administered for all certifications.

Student Courses must have a minimum of three students per class.

Any Certified Instructor leaving law enforcement will automatically lose their certification.
