-Brazilian Jiu-jitsu 2nd Degree Black Belt from Carlos Machado
-Johnny Lee Smith was the first person in the State of Alabama to achieve Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
-Johnny Lee Smith was the first person in the State of Alabama to achieve 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
-He is currently one of only three Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Black Belts in the state.
-He is the only person in the state that has trained extensively with Rickson Gracie.

-SSGT became the first and only defensive tactics program ever offered at Action Target’s Law Enforcement Training Camp (LETC) held in Provo, UT.
2005-present
-Founded the “Equalizer” Women's Self Defense & System Of Personal Safety Programs.
-I have certified law enforcement officers as instructors in the Equalizer Women's Self-defense Program in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Click here for a complete list of instructors certified.
2003
-SSGT became a mandated portion of the basic curriculum for all State and Regional Law Enforcement Academies in the State of Alabama-mandated by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards In Training Commission.
1998-present
-Founded the "Strategic Self-defense and Grappling Tactics" (SSGT) Program for Law Enforcement.
-I have certified instructors in the SSGT Program for law enforcement agencies in the following states. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, and Tennessee.
OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE:

-Appeared on the “Crook and Chase” TV Show to discuss marial arts for children and demonstrate self-defense techniques.

-Worked on “Batman & Robin” Warner Brothers Productions as assistant to Fight Choreographer Pat Johnson.

-Starred in “WMAC MASTERS” 4 KIDS Productions where I also choreographed fight scenes.
